I just officially (unofficially) declared today National Give Yourself a Hug Day. If you are reading this post today, then, today is National Give Yourself a Hug Day. The date is irrelevant. Just go ahead and give yourself a hug.

The world is made up of all kinds of people. There will be those who sing our praises, and there will be those whom we could never please. There will be those who will try to have us believe that we are horrible people, unworthy of God’s love. They will tell us that we are bad humans, citizens, spouses, siblings, parents, friends, students, workers etc. However, we must remember that it’s not what they say about us that matters. It’s what God says. When God created man on the sixth day, He looked over all His creations and noted that they were good. God noted that He had created a good thing. Furthermore, Ephesians 2:10 says that we are God’s masterpiece. Know tonight that while we might not be perfect, God created a good thing when He made us—when He made you.

There is only one you. Only you can do what you can do. Don’t allow anyone to project onto you a feeling of inferiority or condemnation. You are the son/daughter of a King. You are a co-heir with Christ. You are good thing.

Go ahead. Give yourself a hug you good thing you 😉

I love this song. I think I have found my new 2015 anthem!
