This morning, as I laid in bed during the darkness of the dawn, my eyes searched my bedroom. I thought about what I wanted from God. What was my heart’s cry today? There, in the six o’clock hour, I decided that I wanted MORE.

There are time in our lives when just having a glimpse of God is not enough. Just dipping our tongue in the well of life is not enough. Voyaging through life’s deserts can make us parched—deathly thirsty. During those times, a sip of water will not suffice. We need more. Today, my charge for Day 9 of this challenge is: God give us more of You.

Lord, here we come before you—inflated, but yet so empty.

Our hearts are fortified by fear, doubt, hatred, insecurity, lust, jealousy and other negative vices.

We lay at your feet, and ask you to break the chairs of the prison doors around our hearts.

Lord, soften our hearts as we lean into you.

Jesus, we can sense your presence, but we want more.

Lord, draw closer and overwhelm us with your fragrance.

Jesus, we can feel your presence, but we want more.

Don’t just stand beside us. Permeate our bodies.

Jesus, we can feel your presence, but we want more.

Overwhelm every fiber, every cell, and every atom of our beings.

Jesus, we can sense your presence, but we want more.

We want more!

Jesus, we want to reek of your fragrance—Your spirit seeping through our pores.

We want more!

Father, draw us closer into your presence.

Fill us with your glory. Fill us with your peace. Infuse us with your presence.

Lord, we can feel you closer, but we still want more.

Lord, draw us in your presence—closer to your throne.

Lord, we call upon Your name. You are the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end. With you all things are possible. Today, I pray that you bring us into your presence. Saturate the air with you Spirit. Let us feel you there. Fill our morning and our day with your peace. Remind us that you alone are God. God, thank you for giving us more!
